During a panel discussion at this year’s Mobile World Congress, Samsung’s Vice President, Hon Pak, emphasized that the upcoming Galaxy Ring will not be compatible with iPhones, a daring move by Samsung.

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Ring won't be supported by iOS devices

Pak expressed Samsung’s confidence in the product and recognized the challenge between Android and iOS. He stated that Samsung’s devices are on par with Apple’s, giving compelling reasons to switch to Samsung’s ecosystem. Additionally, Samsung is actively working on integrating with other Android devices, not limited to Samsung phones.

The Galaxy Ring will offer different battery sizes, with the smaller versions using a 14 mAh battery and the larger ones using a 21.5 mAh unit. These batteries are expected to provide 5-9 days of battery life.

While the specific release date of the Galaxy Ring remains unknown, rumors suggest it will debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 at this July’s Unpacked event. For more details, check out our hands-on impressions.
