There have been rumors swirling about the possibility of a more affordable Galaxy Z Fold6 or a high-end Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra. Today’s rumor seems to be leaning towards the latter option.
In South Korea, a model named SM-F958 has emerged, leading many to speculate that this could be the anticipated Ultra Z Fold device. This speculation is based on Samsung’s naming conventions. For example, the Galaxy Z Fold5 is labeled as SM-946, while the Galaxy Z Fold4 was SM-936, indicating that the Galaxy Z Fold6 may be designated as SM-956. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is known as SM-928.
Based on this pattern, it’s assumed that regular phone models end with a 6, while Ultra models end with an 8.
Unfortunately, this is all the information available at this time. The report suggests that the device may be exclusive to South Korea, but it’s unlikely given Samsung’s global distribution strategy for its Ultra devices.
Samsung is expected to reveal the Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, and Galaxy Ring in July. Initial renders indicate that the Galaxy Z Fold6 may have a similar design to the current model.
