In response to a recent crackdown by traffic police in Punjab targeting drivers without valid licenses, passing the driving test on the first try has become a priority for motorists.
Expanding on this effort, the Lahore Traffic Police (LTP) has released a video providing tips for passing the driving license test to the public. In the video, a police official shares important advice on what to avoid during the test using simple steps.
Helpful Tips
Prior to the test, make sure to:
- Adjust the seat properly
- Buckle up
- Adjust the side view mirrors
According to the official, the most challenging part of the test is reversing. To succeed, keep the car on the passenger side. The officer explains, “If you reverse the car with it positioned on the driver’s side, it will collide with the cones.”

If you make mistakes during the test, candidates are given an advantage. The officer assures, “If you have trouble while reversing, you will have a chance to drive forward and then reverse again, positioning the car on the left side of the track.”
By following these simple guidelines, passing the driving test in Punjab becomes achievable. Therefore, it is recommended to apply for your driving license, obtain it, and avoid hefty fines and legal repercussions.
Online Registration
To make things easier for the public, the traffic police have introduced an online service. This decision aims to simplify and streamline the licensing process, considering the increase in license applications in the region.
Renew Your License Online
Individuals can renew their licenses through the online system. They can choose from one, three, five, and ten-year renewal options. Additionally, international driving licenses will remain valid for three years.
The public can easily download their local and international e-licenses, eliminating the need for physical driving tests, as per the announcement.
