TCL made a big impression at this year’s MWC 2024 with the introduction of the remaining devices in its 50 series lineup. The TCL 50 SE and TCL 50 5G are new affordable smartphones designed to offer a quality experience for those on a tight budget.
The TCL 50 SE features a large 6.78-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, paired with either 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in the base model or 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone also supports microSD cards up to 2TB for additional storage.
On the back, the TCL 50 SE sports a 50MP f/1.8 main camera along with a 2MP dedicated macro camera. The front camera is an 8MP f/2.0 shooter.
Running on Android 14 out of the box, the TCL 50 SE is promised to receive an upgrade to Android 15 in the future. It is equipped with a 5,010mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging, allowing for a 50% charge in just 30 minutes.
The TCL 50 5G boasts a similar design with a smaller 6.6-inch 90Hz IPS display at HD+ resolution. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6835 SoC with the same memory options available.
Similar to the TCL 50 SE, the TCL 50 5G features a 50MP main camera on the back, paired with a 5MP f/2.2 secondary camera. It also shares the same 8MP front camera.
Both phones run on Android 14, with the TCL 50 5G promised to receive two OS upgrades. They both feature a 5,010mAh battery but differ in charging speed, with the TCL 50 5G capping at 18W.
Both the TCL 50 SE and 50 5G are priced affordably at € 149.
TCL also unveiled two TWS earbuds – the TCL MoveAudio Neo and the MoveAudio Go. While they both have 10mm dynamic drivers, the Neo model stands out with a larger case and a 760mAh battery. The Neo buds also have ANC, giving them an edge over the Go model.
