Just like the previous year’s versions, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are equipped with stereo speakers – a bottom-firing speaker and the earpiece. Samsung hasn’t provided many details, but the 2024 models offer improved speakers. Take a listen for yourself.
We conduct our tests in a controlled acoustic environment, playing a variety of music genres for you to listen to. We also perform a full frequency range sweep to create the frequency response graphs displayed below.
Samsung Galaxy S24+
In the S24 series, Samsung has enhanced the mids at the expense of some bass, although the latter is mainly in a frequency range that is not detectable by human ears. Additionally, the speakers are noticeably louder compared to their predecessors (with a smaller difference between the regular and plus models this year).
If you use headphones, you will notice that the improvement is more significant than it initially seems. There is also improved stereo separation.
It’s worth noting that you can add more phones to the comparison – we have an expanding list, providing the opportunity to compare your current phone’s sound with the new Galaxy S24 series.
