This week Xiaomi has unveiled new Poco mid-range phones that are already available and with discounts.

Starting with the Poco X6, this device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset (paired with 12GB of RAM) and features a surprisingly great display for a phone that costs under €300 – a 6.67” OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 1,220 x 2,712px resolution, along with 12-bit colors and Dolby Vision. The camera features a 64MP sensor in the main and an 8MP ultra wide (118°). The phone also comes with a 5,100mAh battery with 67W fast charging, stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

That’s a lot of RAM and plenty of storage too, but the Poco X6 Pro goes up to UFS 4.0 and switches the chipset to a Dimensity 8300. The rest of the phone is similar, so the price increase seems hard to justify. A review of the Poco X6 Pro will be available soon. And a review of the Poco X6 is already out.

Another phone unveiled this week is the Poco M6 Pro. It includes 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage and comes at a lower price than the X6. However, this is a 4G-only phone (Helio G99) and its 6.67” 120Hz AMOLED display is missing the 12-bit support and has a lower resolution (FHD+). The Poco M6 Pro includes a microSD slot, but little else that the X6 doesn’t have.

Google has stated that it will support the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro for 7 years with software updates and spare parts. Nonetheless, the Pixels are quite expensive in Europe.

A Bluetooth or LTE version of the Pixel Watch 2 is also available. It comes with built-in ECG and a suite of Fitbit fitness tracking features. Compared to the original Pixel Watch, this one has longer battery life thanks to the more efficient chipset.

Introducing the Huawei FreeClip TWS buds, which feature an entirely different design. They clip around your ear, making them more stable and comfortable. These are also open-ear buds, so they don’t block sounds around you. They also have no clear left and right distinction, allowing you to use one bud and swap it between ears. Note that these buds usually cost €200 but are currently available with a free Huawei Band 8 on Amazon.

The Google Pixel Buds Pro also offers a traditional TWS design. These buds can function as a real babel fish and translate spoken language on the fly.

For those in need of a power bank, the Anker Prime Power Bank 20,000mAh is now available. It offers 200W of output, although this is distributed as 100W over both USB-C ports simultaneously and up to 65W over the USB-A port, even if one of the USB-C ports is in use. When all three ports are in use, you get 100W + 60W + 40W.
