Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei CBG, introduces the latest Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024 as “lighter than light”. Weighing only 980g (2.16lbs), this new laptop is 30% lighter than the slim 2023 model and measures just 13.5mm in thickness.

Even with a significant reduction in weight, the new laptop is more powerful than ever. The Intel Ultra 9 (185H) processor offers 60% more speed overall compared to the Core i7 (1360P) found in the 2023 model, with the new Arc GPU doubling the performance of its predecessor.
The X Pro can be customized based on your budget. The base model comes with an Ultra 7 processor (155H), 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD, priced at CNY 11,000 ($1,520/€1,420/₹130,000) after a small discount. Upgrading to 32GB RAM costs an additional CNY 1,500, while the top-tier model with a Core Ultra 9, 32GB RAM, and a 2TB SSD is priced at CNY 15,000. The laptop is currently in pre-sale, with official sales starting on April 18th for the base model.
Although it remains a 14.2” laptop, the IPS LCD display has been upgraded to an OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate (up from 90Hz) and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits (twice that of the LCD). The display supports touch input (up to 10 fingers) and boasts a resolution of 3,120 x 2,080px, rendering 10-bit colors. Additionally, the laptop features a large trackpad.
The new Intel Ultra processors come with AI accelerators, which enable the Pangu AI model to perform tasks such as real-time subtitle generation for movies and video calls, along with note-taking based on voice input.
The Huawei MateBook X Pro is equipped with a 70Wh Li-Po battery that supports 140W fast charging. A 10-minute charge can provide up to 3 hours of usage on the go.

Charging is through USB-C, and the laptop offers two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6 (ax), and Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. The webcam can capture 1080p video and works in conjunction with 4 microphones and 6 speakers.
The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024 is available in Inkstone Black, White, and Clear Blue Snow. With the Ultra 9 processor delivering up to 40W, this laptop is poised to be lighter than the Apple MacBook Pro 14 and even lighter than the MacBook Air.
Additionally, Huawei also launched the Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick 2. Resembling a lipstick container, this TWS earbud set comes with a charging case that features decorative engraving and the option to attach a lanyard for a stylish look.
Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick 2 (String White)
These buds are certified for Hi-Res Audio Wireless and support L2HC and LDAC codecs, providing high-quality audio up to 990kbps, 96kHz at 24-bit. They have a frequency response as low as 16Hz.
The earbuds are rated IP54 for protection against rain and splashes of water, offering a normal battery life of 5 hours, which reduces to 3.5 hours with ANC enabled. Fast charging allows for 2 hours of listening time with just 5 minutes in the case.

The Huawei FreeBuds Lipstick 2 is available for pre-sale at CNY 1,700 ($235/€220/₹19,500) and comes in String White and Phantom Black color options.
