Nothing’s upcoming Phone (2a) is generating a lot of excitement with its teaser campaign as the official unveiling on March 5 approaches. Nothing CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the phone will not be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 SoC, contrary to previous rumors.

The teaser post on X is included above, and Nothing will announce the chipset on February 20 at 10 am London time. This leaves us with some time to speculate on what it could be.

Some people on X are speculating about a “Dimensity 7200 Ultra” or a customized chipset, which has become popular in certain smartphone circles. We will have to wait and see if Nothing goes this route to make its phone stand out.

Rumored specs for the Nothing Phone (2a) include a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, 8/12GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, two 50 MP rear cameras, and 45W charging support. Pricing is rumored to start at €349 for the 8/128GB model and €399 for the 12/256GB model.
