The launch of two rugged devices – the Xcover7 phone and the Tab Active5 slate by Samsung was announced a few weeks ago. The pricing details were not disclosed at the time of the announcement, so we had to wait for the latest updates to get the pricing information.

It seems that in the US, only the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 will be available. It will be released in the first quarter of the year (January-March) with prices starting at $550. This is likely for the LTE version, while a 5G model is also expected to be available.

The Samsung Galaxy Xcover7 is now available in the UK through the Samsung Business page at a price of £350. The tablet (5G variant) is listed as “coming soon” and will be priced at £510.

In Germany, the Xcover7 is priced at €360, while the Tab Active5 will cost €480 for a Wi-Fi only version and €580 for the 5G model. According to the press release, these devices should have already been available (it mentions “mid-January”), but they are not currently listed on the rugged section of the Samsung Business page.

We have also attempted to find the devices in other EU countries (France, Italy, Spain, etc.) and have experienced similar issues. The French press release specifically mentions January 24 as the launch date (other countries are less specific), so it may be worth checking again tomorrow for updates.
