Recent reports suggest that Google’s upcoming Pixel 8a could come with a higher price tag compared to its predecessors, especially in the EU.

According to new information from reliable sources, the Pixel 7a launched at €500, but the Pixel 8a is expected to start at €570 in Germany. It will be available in two variants – one with 128GB storage and another with 256GB, priced at €630.

Google Pixel 8a to be more expensive than its predecessor

Reports also indicate that the Pixel 8a will be offered in four color options upon release, as revealed in internal listings from German retailers. The color choices include Obsidian (black), Porcelain (beige), Bay (light blue), and Mint (light green). However, it seems that not all colors will be available for both storage options, with the 256GB model currently only listed in Obsidian.

The Pixel 8a is expected to hit the shelves in April or May and is rumored to feature Google’s Tensor G3 SoC along with 8GB of RAM. It will come with a more rounded design compared to its predecessor and will sport two rear cameras in a recognizable ‘visor’ layout that extends across the phone’s back.
