The Honor Magic V2 took its time before finally launching in Europe, but the main concern for potential buyers, according to last week’s poll, is its high price.

One third of voters selected this as their main concern. While foldable phones are naturally expensive, the £1,700/€2,000 price tag of the V2 seems to be too steep for many potential buyers.

The delayed arrival of the Magic V2 has also meant that other foldable phones are already on sale in Europe at a lower cost, even if they are slightly bulkier than the V2. Only 11% of voters saw outdated hardware as a major issue with the Magic V2.

Weekly poll results: the Honor Magic V2 is too pricey

Additionally, 12% of voters are waiting to see what new foldable phones will be released, as the Magic V2 is a 2023 design and newer models, like the rumored Galaxy Z Fold6, are expected in around six months. This uncertainty positions Honor to make strategic decisions regarding the price and features of its upcoming models.

Speaking of new models, Honor will soon unveil the Honor V2 RSR at the MWC. However, the introduction of this Porsche Design phone is unlikely to address the concerns of buyers seeking a more affordable option.
