National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) has issued a traffic alert announcing that major motorways have been shut down. In an official notification, the police stated: “The general public is informed that due to road maintenance, the following motorways will remain closed starting from 8:00 pm on November 22, 2024.”

As per the notification, these motorways will remain closed:
- M-1 (Peshawar to Islamabad)
- M-2 (Lahore to Islamabad)
- M-3 (Lahore to Abdulhakeem)
- M-4 (Pindi Bhattian to Multan)
- M-11 (Sialkot to Lahore)
- M-14 (Hakla to Yarik)
The police advised people to avoid any inconvenience, please refrain from unnecessary travel. “For the latest updates on motorways and highways, you can contact the National Highways and Motorway Police helpline at 130.”
