It appears that Samsung has included a hidden crash detection feature in its Galaxy S24 Ultra and Z Fold5, which may be activated through a future software update. Developer Mishaal Rahman uncovered the system code for the “Car Crash Detect Wakeup” sensor within a OneUI 6.1 hidden system app called MoccaMobile.

Rahman explains that this feature utilizes a composite sensor that combines data from various physical sensors such as the accelerometer and gyroscope, and integrates the data via the Android Sensor Hub. It is unknown how Samsung intends to introduce the feature and whether it is also available on the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models.
