The launch of the Y200 by vivo took place last October, and in February, the Y200e was introduced. Now, it appears that a third member of the family, the vivo Y200 Pro, will be released very soon. Please note that the Pro designation is in comparison to the others and does not indicate high-end specifications.
The Y200 Pro has already received Bluetooth certification and has been approved for sale in India by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This indicates that it will be available in India as well as other markets.
vivo V29e
Based on one of the two model numbers associated with the Y200 Pro in its certifications, there is a strong possibility that it may be a rebranded or adjusted version of the vivo V29e, which was launched in October 2023.
If this is the case, expect the Y200 Pro to feature a 6.67-inch 1080×2400 120 Hz AMOLED display with 1,150-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 695 chipset, 8/12GB of RAM, a 64 MP main rear camera, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, a 50 MP front camera, and a 4,800 mAh battery with 44W wired charging support.
We are still unsure why vivo enjoys the rebranding approach so much, but that seems to be their strategy. The official announcement of the Y200 Pro is expected in the coming weeks, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available.
