Xiaomi India made an announcement today stating that the launch of the Xiaomi 14 smartphone will take place in India on March 7.
The Xiaomi 14 is part of the Xiaomi 14 series, alongside the Xiaomi 14 Pro and the forthcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro were initially launched in China in October of 2023, while the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is anticipated to be unveiled globally later this month at MWC.
However, Xiaomi India’s announcement specifically focuses on the Xiaomi 14 smartphone, excluding the China-exclusive 14 Pro and the upcoming flagship 14 Ultra. This isn’t unexpected, as Xiaomi has typically avoided launching its top-tier devices in the Indian market.
The Xiaomi 14 features a 6.36-inch 1200p LTPO OLED display with 120Hz and Dolby Vision, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with up to 16GB memory and 1TB storage, triple 50MP Leica-branded cameras on the back for wide, ultra-wide and 3.2x telephoto, and a 4610mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Details about pricing and availability will be revealed on March 7th.
