The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is on the horizon, and a leaked image of the camera island cover glass indicates that only the sensors will be new, while the overall design will remain the same as the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
Based on the image, the main camera will feature a brighter f/1.6 aperture, and the periscope telephoto lens will have a f/2.5 aperture. The camera will once again be tuned by Leica.
Historically, Xiaomi has changed the appearance of its flagships with each new iteration, but if this leak is accurate, it seems the company is content with the design from last year and sees no need for significant changes.
If the leaked image is indeed reflective of the final product, reports suggest that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra may feature a Sony LYT-900 sensor with a variable aperture for the main camera. There is uncertainty as to whether the phone will be available globally or if Xiaomi will continue its trend of exclusive releases in China, like with the 11 Ultra and 12S Ultra.
