Xiaomi recently hosted a huge event in Barcelona just before MWC, where it introduced its latest flagship smartphones to the global audience.
During the keynote, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra featuring Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro remains exclusive to the Chinese market.
For those unfamiliar, the Xiaomi 14 features a 6.36” LTPO OLED display with a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. The panel offers a resolution of 1200p and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. Its rear camera setup has been completely revamped, now boasting three 50 MP cameras.
The primary camera has a wider f/1.6 aperture and a larger 1/1.31” sensor with dual-pixel PDAF. The telephoto camera offers a 3.2x zoom equivalent to 75mm, while the third camera is an ultra-wide-angle lens. Another upgrade in the Xiaomi 14 is the slightly larger 4,610 mAh battery with 90W wired charging, and consistent 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging support.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was recently launched in China. It features the same 6.73” LTPO AMOLED display as its predecessor, now capable of reaching up to 3000 nits peak brightness. Xiaomi uses a specially designed protective sheet called Shield Glass for added durability.
While the primary 50 MP camera in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra retains the variable aperture, it now features a brighter f/1.6 aperture and a new 1”-type sensor. The phone retains the 5x telephoto camera with periscope lens, the 3.2x telephoto camera, and the ultra-wide-angle shooter, all equipped with 50 MP Sony IMX858 sensors that are 1/2.51″ in size.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra boasts a larger 5,300 mAh battery with 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging capabilities out of the box.
The compact Xiaomi 14 is offered in Black, White, and Jade Green colors, with storage options of 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB, starting at €1,000.
On the other hand, the premium Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be priced at €1,500 in Black or White color options, with a storage configuration of 16GB/512GB.
Customers purchasing either phone will enjoy free screen repair services within the first 6 months of ownership.
