A few months ago, we introduced a new player in the electric scooter market, the ‘Yadea’. This Chinese automaker is well-known for its electric bikes and made its debut in Pakistan through Road Prince. With its stylish design and innovative technology, the T5 model aims to reduce carbon emissions in the country. Read on for our first drive review.
First Impressions
For regular bike riders, switching to a scooter may feel different due to its lower posture and slower speed. However, the Yadea scooter’s digital meter and stylish aesthetics will surely make for an enjoyable ride.
Promising Features
The most appealing feature of the T5 is its TTFAR technology, which includes a regenerative braking system, a first in Pakistan’s two-wheeler sector. The scooter claims a top speed of 50 Km, but in sports mode, it reached 55 Km with a range of 105 Km. It also comes with a front disc brake for excellent performance on rough terrain.
The T5 has a comfortable seat, ample storage space, and DRLs, as well as hazard lights that activate with the turn signals to alert other riders. Overall, the scooter looks like a high-quality product with the unique feature of regenerative braking to increase mileage in stop-and-go traffic. However, its suspension was average on rough roads.
Final Thoughts
We will continue to test the Yadea T5 with various loads and on steep terrain to evaluate its resilience and efficiency. Stay tuned to our PakWheels blog for our expert review of the Yadea T5 electric scooter.
